Stock market
simulation lesson plan for teaching stocks
Want to teach or learn about stocks?
Use our step by step lessons to teach and learn with your own stock market
simulation. Meanwhile, you will be reinforcing
basic math and learning about stocks, and how the economy works. Math
skills include percentages, graphing, rounding, fractions, calculator skills,
and more. Also reinforce checking skills, budgeting, and money management
skills.
What is wrong with traditional stock market
simulations?
Many stock market
simulation's often have contests based on who has the most money at the end of
the exercise. This is unfortunate, since it actually teaches bad
investment practices.
We encourage good investment processes and basic
learning skills. Our only interest is to help you and your students
learn about stocks, investing, the economy, while reinforcing basic skills.
Lessons include lesson plans and
learning worksheets. Lessons are customizable to many age
groups, including primary education, secondary education, and adults.
Lessons can be
used for teaching a stock market simulation or for teaching stock investing basics. Here we have organized our
material and set up a basic market simulation lesson plan for teaching about
stocks and the stock market.
No background on
investing is necessary. Also, we are here to help and answer your
questions!
Note -- We are not
here to give you specific investment advice.
This is an educational site for investment education to help you understand stocks and investing so you can
teach and learn about the market and the economic system and learn how to make better
investment decisions yourself.
