  • Know the accounts involved in recording depreciation
  • Know how to journalize depreciation transactions
  • Understand the different methods for calculating depreciation
  • Know how to calculate deprecation

3. Discuss land

  • Introduce the concept of appreciation

4. Present depreciation as business expense

  • discuss the fact that it has no dollar value

5. Introduce the accounts used in recording depreciation

  • work through an example

6. Discuss net value

7. Demonstrate how to calculate depreciation

Assessment/Evaluation
